Ngurratjuta Iltja Ntjarra, the Many Hands Art Centre is situated in the township of Alice Springs and has been established to provide a place for Western Arunda Artists to come together to paint, share and learn new techniques and ideas.


The Many Hands Art Centre was established to preserve the ‘Hermansburg school of Art’ including the works of Albert Namatjira and his descendants. The Art Centre has many water colour artists and traditional dot painters living in the Alice Springs area. Its aim is to create not only a place where artists can gather and socialise but also pass on cultural knowledge with an emphasis on encouraging young artists to explore their talent.


The Many Hands Art Centre has been using the Aboriginal Art Centre Database since 2005. Metis Internet Partners has also worked with the Ngurratjuta Iltja Ntjarra on internet strategy using the Aboriginal Art Centre Database website export.
