Ngurratjuta Iltja Ntjarra - Many Hands Art Centre

Ngurratjuta Iltja Ntjarra, the Many Hands Art Centre is situated in the township of Alice Springs and has been established to provide a place for Western Arunda Artists to come together to paint, share and learn new techniques and ideas.

The Many Hands Art Centre was established to preserve the ‘Hermansburg school of Art’ including the works of Albert Namatjira and his descendants. The Art Centre has many water colour artists and traditional dot painters living in the Alice Springs area. Its aim is to create not only a place where artists can gather and socialise but also pass on cultural knowledge with an emphasis on encouraging young artists to explore their talent.

The Many Hands Art Centre has been using the Aboriginal Art Centre Database since 2005. Metis Internet Partners has also worked with the Ngurratjuta Iltja Ntjarra on internet strategy using the Aboriginal Art Centre Database website export.

James Home Ratings

James Home Ratings is a tool to make property decisions easier, quicker and more accurate.

James Home Ratings examines pieces of information about a home and matches them against established buying criteria.

All home characteristics are assessed against set control points and a numerical result expressed. It is therefore possible to compare vacant blocks of land (land rating only) with apartments. And it is possible to meaningfully compare different geographical areas and price ranges.

James Home Ratings also allows for meaningful comparisons between very different properties while taking into consideration all their respective features. Once a rating is completed a figure out at 1000 is given and this allows the buyer/user to:

compare ALL properties against each other

compare the properties you are looking at against each other

know what most other buyers think of your property

know the long term growth potential of each property

know whether the targeted property is any good or not.

Metis Internet Partners is working with James Home Ratings on internet strategy and search engine optimisation.

Problems with userpic in Movable Type 4.21

There are a few posts out there with people documenting problems with userpics.

I have had a different issue. When upgrading to 4.21 I saved the assets and then copied them over with an ftp client. During the upgrade process these new files and folders were assigned the incorrect owner (should be nobody) which caused plenty of problems for users trying to update their userpics.

So make sure all files and folders in the mt-static/support are assigned to the Movable Type user - in my case nobody - and things will be fine.
