Culture...

Metis Internet Partners approaches each creative or client project by gaining an understanding of the arts, customs, and habits characterising the industry of the project. We draw on our experience and knowledge of global cultures and subcultures, including the variety of beliefs, behavious and values that govern online communities and social structures, to ensure each of our projects is targetted to the right audience, community and society.

We understand the internet as a vehicle for

  • sharing and expanding our knowledge
  • establishing, maintaining and growing interaction free from geographical constraints and
  • enhancing and assisting our everyday lives and lifestyles

We work with clients to develop resources that are responsive to, or create, online cultures in a very specific way. We understand online technological and behavioural trends and develop projects based on our expertise and these demands. We utilise our strategic and communication skills to provide consultancy advice helping to introduce businesses to specific online markets and their users.

Metis Internet Values and Beliefs

What we value

For Metis Internet Partners the virtual world offers a way to improve our lives and lifestyles.

We create online resources that will enhance our decision making and make a difference to our lives. Metis Internet Partners approaches each project with the knowledge that an online solution is just one possibility, the same way we approach the use of technology in our lives. We developed the Aboriginal Art Directory to share hard to find information about Aboriginal artists amongst the Aboriginal Art community and to allow web users to quickly find Aborigial Art vendors selling artwork by particular artists or artwork styles. Metis Internet Partners identified a different need by establishing Internet Community Development to address online service delivery gaps exacerbated by the digital divide. Each of our projects aims to address an important communication and knowledge gap.

Metis Internet Partners is developing a series of projects that are intertwined in our needs and interests; a virtual streetscape. Each of these projects is focussed on:

  • sharing and expanding our knowledge
  • establishing, maintaining and growing interaction free from geographical constraints and
  • enhancing and assisting our everyday lives and lifestyles

Our projects include the Aboriginal Art Cooperative, Ethical Investment Directory, Aboriginal Art Centre Database and Aboriginal Art Directory.
